Horizontes

Meu trabalho de conclusão de curso foi a elaboração projeto expográfico “Horizontes: mulheres, desigualdade e a capacidade de sonhar”. Partindo da pergunta “Quais são seus sonhos”? feita a jovens mulheres universitárias de baixa renda, o projeto mobiliza a reflexão sobre o papel social do design e propõe uma expografia que objetiva sensibilizar e provocar reflexões sobre as desigualdades do país, sociais e de gênero, assim como criar um espaço de representatividade e inspiração para outras jovens mulheres na mesma condição. Aqui, reuni as colagens que fizeram parte da exposição.

My undergraduate thesis project was the development of the exhibition design project "Horizons: Women, Inequality, and the Ability to Dream." Starting from the question "What are your dreams?" posed to young, low-income female university students, the project engages in reflection on the social role of design and proposes an exhibition design aimed at raising awareness and provoking reflections on the country's inequalities, both social and gender-based, as well as creating a space of representation and inspiration for other young women in similar circumstances. Here, I gathered the collages that were part of the exhibition.

[PT] Começo: assim como o próprio nome já diz, a primeira parte da exposição vai mostrar as origens das mulheres entrevistadas. Os destaques são para os lugares que marcaram suas vidas, as frases ouvidas desde a infância e a adolescência e alguns aspectos do modo de vida.
[EN] Beginning: just as the name suggests, the first part of the exhibition will showcase the origins of the interviewed women. Highlights include the places that have marked their lives, the phrases heard since childhood and adolescence, and some aspects of their way of life.
[PT] Meios: os meios representam as barreiras e as dificuldades enfrentadas pelas mulheres no caminho para a realização de seus sonhos. Os sentimentos de raiva, tristeza e medo são predominantes nessas peças.
[EN] Means: the means represent the barriers and difficulties faced by women on the path to achieving their dreams. Feelings of anger, sadness, and fear are predominant in these pieces.
[PT] Fins: eles justificam os meios e são as motivações que movem as mulheres. O sentimento predominante é de amor e a família é a figura mais presente nas peças. Escolheu-se terminar a exposição com um tema mais brando para que as visitantes se enxergassem nas motivações das mulheres entrevistadas e saíssem inspiradas.
[EN] Ends: they justify the means and are the motivations that drive women. The predominant feeling is one of love, and family is the most prominent figure in the pieces. We chose to conclude the exhibition with a softer theme so that visitors could see themselves in the motivations of the interviewed women and leave inspired.
